We arrived back in the States yesterday after a successful trip to Ireland where we forged a new strategic alliance to scout the hottest global STR investments and lifestyle assets. These opportunities promise quality experiences in prime locations at a fraction of the costs of U.S. markets.

Increasing operating costs in the U.S. hit us hard again last week, confirming that our global STR journey is the right path to explore.

• A New AC unit? Installed a new $8,000 AC unit in one of my STRs (the same unit cost $4,000 a couple of years ago—crazy). It’s only a 550 sqft condo!

• Plumber for a slow-draining toilet? Paid $380 (used to be $75 for this call). Despite my complaint of this absolutely ridiculous price, the vendor wouldn't budge.

• Insurance Premiums & HOA Dues? Our HOA’s rose from $305/month to $705/month, and projected to reach $900/month by the end of the year!

These are just a few of the reasons why we are starting our journey to scout for quality international STR markets, properties, and lifestyle, where we can invest in more for less.
